    Product feature
    1. Footwear waterproofing test.
The footwear is laboratory and field tested to ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. The boots are first immersed in water while air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
    2. 3 levels of waterproofing.
In the waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing, with 2,000 flexes (approx. a 4 km walk), 4000 flexes (approx. an 8 Km walk) and 8000 flexes (approx. a 16 Km walk). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
    3. Level of waterproofing of the boot.
Arpenaz 100 Warm boots are waterproof for 4000 flexes.
    4. Field tests.
All our boots are subjected to comfort and use tests, carried out by target audience users, in typical conditions of use. In our field tests, the product manager works with people outside QUECHUA to test, improve, and approve our products.
    5. Measurement of the boots' thermal insulation.
It used to be impossible to tell the exact temperature down to which your shoes would protect you. Now it can be done: the temperature limits for use are shown on your Quechua boots. We worked with a panel of customers to measure the thermal resistance of our shoes, during activity and at rest, using cold sensing tests, both in the field and the lab. We take into account the differences in sensing cold between men and women.
    6. Lab tests.
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, accelerated ageing.

    • Hoots Toots,Crackin Boots.

      Mike (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great pair of boots, high leg so bits don`t get in and rub your ankle raw,you get half sizes so I got a better fitting boot that was both comfortable and warm but above all else they were waterproof.Really did the job on the Archery Range, mud water and clingy brambles did not get a look in,and so comfortable and light, with a normal pair of socks on they were like wearing slippers, made the day that much better, will see how long they last but I am hoping they will stay the course for a long time, for what you pay they are a great boot that will do almost any kind of walking.Cannot find a fault with them.
High Leg ankle Support.Easy to lace up,Waterproo.
