    Product feature
    1. Frame lock
Frame locks are very popular in northern Europe and act as excellent deterrents because they are very difficult for thieves to break. Moreover, as they are fixed permanently to your bike, they are very handy. For extra protection, use the 115 / 10 CABLE (item code: 8392575) so that you can attach both wheels to a fixed object like a post or street furniture. And you only need one key to do it.
    Product testing
    1. Product restrictions
Cannot be mounted on bikes with very wide tyres (mountain bikes)
    2. Product catchline
A very secure bike lock to be attached directly to the frame of your bike. Can used with an extra cable (item code: 8392575), to fasten your bike to a fixed object.

    • Not Compatible with Elops 500

      Sam (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
I purchased this lock with my Elops 500 Bike. It is not compatible due to the bike coming with a dynamo for the lights which is pre installed. Not mentioned this issue on the website so will need to return.
      Response of the brand
Thank you for giving us feedback regarding the compatibility of this lock. I have been informed that this lock will fit the Elops 500 (even with a dynamo). You need to loosen the screw holding the dynamo to the frame, mount the lock and then re-tighten the dynamo back to it's original position.
If you require further clarification, your local Decathlon store workshop can assist with fitting the lock to your bike.

    • Great lock on paper but incompatible with Elops920

      Nicholas (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
I bought this to replace the existing ring lock (an AXA Solid) on my Elops 920. I've had an excellent experience with the Solid, as it's provided a secure and convenient way of securing my bike, and as the key can't be removed from the lock when it's open, I can never forget it. However, there is no provision for a plug in cable or chain, hence I purchased the Defender.

Unfortunately, there is not enough clearance between the mudguard and the seat stay on my Elops 920 to accommodate the AXA Defender. So sadly, I will have to return this product for a refund. Which is a shame, because it feels like an extremely solid product.

I rate it 4 stars based on my positive experience with the AXA Solid, but minus a star for the inability to fit it to my Elops 920.

N.B. if you are also in my situation, it seems a version of the AXA Solid (called the AXA Solid Plus) is available that has the option for a plug in chain or cable, and as its dimensions are identical to the regular Solid, it should fit the Elops 920 with no problems.

    • Great lock, fab for forgetful kids

      Djerk (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is the defacto lock in The Netherlands. It's got a good rating but above all it's very practical. Permanently attached to the frame, you can't leave home without it. Combined with the plug in cable your bike is attached to a solid object within seconds.

Sure there are heavier locks out there, but this won't damage your frame, rattle around or be forgotten. Just don't forget to lock your bike, or someone else may do it for you. The key stays in the lock when unlocked. This is for insurance purposes; in Holland, if you can't show both keys, insurance companies don't pay out...
    • Good lock BUT

      Alice (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Bought this lock as it is the same as one I have used before. Very secure, especially when used with the plug on cable. HOWEVER the description is misleading, my lock arrived with only the flex mounting kit, and no instructions on how to mount it! I eventually figured it out but what should have been a 10 minute job took hours.
