    11. Care tips
Tyres lose pressure over time. This is normal since bike inner tubes are slightly porous. Don't forget to check your tyre pressure regularly. Riding with under-inflated tyres reduces your battery range, requires more pedalling effort, and increases the risk of punctures. Before performing any work on your electric bike (cleaning, electrical or mechanical maintenance), you must turn off your electric bike and remove the battery.

    • E900 LOW fram

    • Great transport solution for urban/rural commute

      Calum (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I do about 20 miles a day on this e-bike; in the morning I cycle 10 miles to my rowing club and from there to work, and then at the end of the day from work to rowing and then home. The bike makes my commute enjoyable and quick, even carring >8kg of cargo on the saddlebags. Even the most fearsome hill, though still a bit of work (I do come out of the saddle) is much quicker. The mechanical disc brakes are essential for my mixed urban/rural commute especially on steep country lanes. The battery easily lasts me a whole day and a half (I mostly use modes 1 and 2, saving 3 for the steepest hills).

I did have a stiff chain link annoying me a week after I bought it, which caused annoying jumping and a chain coming off, but the Decathlon team replaced the chain with a new one free of charge. So keep an eye out for 'teething problems' in first week or two of purchase.

Make sure you register for Decathlon loyalty BEFORE buying this bike, as then you will have enough points for at least £15 off some saddlebags (I use https://www.decathlon.co.uk/500-double-rear-pannier-bike-bag-2-x-20l-id_8385335.html ).

If you are moderately fit then this is a good bike for my commute, but if you are a little older or carrying more things you may need a bike with a proper crank drive to get you up the steeper hills. This one has a rear hub motor which is adequate for me but may not be for you.
