MIPS Technology
The FR 900 has the MIPS anti-rotation system. Its purpose is to reduce the rotational energy of an impact and thereby reduce the risk of brain damage.
The low-friction layer (yellow layer under the helmet liner) allows multi-directional movement of 10 to 15mm with certain oblique shocks. This is to reduce the rotational force transmitted to the head and brain.
RECCO System
The RECCO® search and rescue system features dual technology which supports the majority of ski resort rescue teams. The RECCO® detector used by rescue teams emits a directional signal. The RECCO® reflector built into the jacket returns the signal. This generates an audible sound which guides rescue personnel directly to the person needing assistance. Before setting off, make sure you get the information you need from the professionals at the resort
Hybrid Structure
ABS/In-Mold
The Light Shell Construction allows for lightweight helmets, this technique is call In-Mold and forms an outer shell moulded directly to the EPS liner.
A slightly heavier, stiff ABS outer shell on the top of the skull increases protection against penetration (Branch, stones, etc.)
We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every 5 years unless it has sustained a significant impact in the meantime
Ventilation
The FR 900 MIPS helmet offers very effective ventilation.
2 ventilation modes by moving the vent on the back of the helmet:
- Passive: For use when stopped. Wicks away heat and humidity in all holes on the top of the helmet.
- Active: For use when skiing. The air enters under the cap, channels through the internal channels and the rear extraction grid. In this position, the top holes are closed.
Turnring System
The Turnring is essential to the support of your helmet. This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily accessible dial that you can even use with your skiing gloves. It also gives you comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.
EN 1077 STANDARD
The EN 1077:2007 standard (cat. B) is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. This Standard tests the ability to absorb shocks and resistance to penetration.

TESTS AND WARRANTY
Test product
All Wed’ze products are tested under the actual conditions of use for which they were designed: in the snow, in the cold, and in all possible conditions you could come across when skiing.
