The benefits of socks

Whether you use your bike for daily journeys or racing in competitions it takes a toll on your feet. Pedalling can result in rubbing, which, coupled with perspiration can feel very unpleasant. The cold can also make cycling uncomfortable if you are not properly protected.
These B'Twin 500 socks offer the warmth that's essential during regular cycling in cold weather thanks to their blend of Merino and Thermolite fibres.

Product tests

Our team of product designers based at the B'Twin Village in Lille is continuously working to make cycling more comfortable for our users. Our obsession is to create products that meet the specific cycling needs of our users and eliminate hindrances to a good cycling experience.
We then test our products in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting them to real world conditions, like the ones you experience on your bike, can we continuously improve our products.

Not suitable for cold weather
Clifford (United Kingdom) Used for 1 week or less
First ride in these socks completed today. Average temperature was around 6 degrees.
I couldn't feel my toes after an hour. They're as good as my normal cycling socks so definitely not suitable for winter
Response of the brand

I'm sorry to hear your feet were cold after an hour of cycling. As a regular cyclist myself I can appreciate how uncomfortable cold feet can be.

With a blend of merino wool and thermalite, these socks will provide more insulation than a standard summer cycling sock. If you add wind chill and the fact many road cycling shoes have ventilation holes, cold air will still be a factor. For this reason a neoprene overshoe is recommended to provide an excellent barrier against the cold.

If not some cyclists tape up the holes inside their shoes as an added measure.

If you are unsatisfied with your socks please feel free to return them to store with your receipt for a refund or exchange.

Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that you had a hole in your stock. Could you kindly reply to me with an indication of the size and location of the whole as I wish to forward this on to b'Twin's design engineer.
Kindest regards,
