Yes the easy height adjustment is a plus but that’s the only good thing about it. First of all the base is so wide it won’t fit through a standard fence door. This means you have to keep it in your driveway 24/7! The base is all metal and after only a few days with rain is was leaving a trace of rust everywhere. Don’t waste your time and money on this product. I love Decathlon and shop there a lot but this product is just a mistake…

The Best quality i was amazed how good, big, strong and sturdy it was for the price, for this level of quality it should be around 25 to 30 thousand.awsome

Easy to change the sizing from 2.2m for my kids, up to full size 3.05m. It is heavy and sturdy once you've filled the base with water. I'd recommend the version with wheels on the bottom that can be used to move it about. It is worth that little extra.
Well worth the wait for stock due to Lockdown. Very easy to assemble. Feels like good quality so should last a few years. It is easy to move around too.
might have some struggle setting up but the quality is very good

The finished product is great, with the tool-free adjustment being really simple and the finished basket really sturdy. Really glad I bought it and all 3 of our kids really like it. So that part is brilliant.
On the downside, you'll need a fairly robust toolbox and a bit of patience to work your way through the assembly manual. Everything needed was there, but the differentiation between bolts, washers etc needs looking at carefully. I mean it's fine, but don't go rushing in like a semi-pro Ikea flat packer, because Ikea this is not. No tools are provided and both ends of nut and bolt setups need securing to tighten and fasten, meaning one set of spanners isn't going to cut the mustard - you'll need 2 sets, or one set and a socket set/ratchet.
To put it in perspective, I'm fairly handy and still spent a good few hours assembling.
Was it worth it? Definitely. Like I said it's a brilliant piece of kit and an absolute bargain for the end result, but don't think for a minute you can knock it together in 20 minutes half cut the night before you're gifting it.
Given the price of this basketball stand I wasn't expecting a great deal, but I have to say I was really surprised about how solid and well made this product is. Some people have said that it's difficult to put together, but if you have the right tools it's not hard at all - any product of this weight and quality (given the price) is going to take the proper tools to put together. Additionally the fact that there is a very good video on youtube showing how it's built makes it even easier.
My only gripe with it (and the reason why it's not got 5 stars) is that it tells you to lay the stand down on it's side in high winds (over 40km) but I'm really not sure how you're supposed to do this when it's full of water. I suppose you could empty the water first but there's no easy way to do this either - unless you tip it on it's side, but then we're back to square one! Also, feels like the plastic water container would break if you did tip it on it's side... it's quite the conundrum, unless of course i'm missing something obvious! If anyone does have the answer please let me know as we're expecting some strong winds very soon! Thank you!
