Component Waterproof Properties
With a waterproof rating of 2000mm, the Sibir 300 parka provides excellent protection from the rain. We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood by the fabric, the more waterproof it is. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).
Garment waterproof properties
This parka has passed a shower test under 100 litres of water/sqm/hour for 4 hours. This test reproduces the same conditions as a heavy downpour. For further information, go to the solognac.com website.
The breathability of a fabric is measured in RET (Resistance to Evaporative Heat Transfer). The lower the fabric's resistance rating, the more water vapour generated by an active body can escape through the fabric and the higher the fabric's breathability. RET is calculated on a finished product.
Sibir 300 Parka RET = 12 M2.Pa/W, breathable.
Water-repellent properties of the component
A fabric is water repellent when water runs off the surface of the fabric, without seeping in. As a result, the fabric does not soak up water and remains light, breathable and warm. A fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment should be repeated during the life of the garment (we recommend after each wash). Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores. Solognac SIBIR parkas are water-repellent.
Height adjustable with elastic drawcord + toggles. Depth can be adjusted using the riptabs at the back of the hood.

A score to compare the environmental impact of products
The product's environmental impacts are calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall score of ABCDE is designed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks...).
Decathlon is a voluntary participant in this environmental labelling initiative.
