360 g per shoe in size 8.5.
Our exclusive system uses a strap that goes under your instep. Tightening your laces also tightens the strap, providing extra instep support without sacrificing comfort. Since the angle of the strap is aligned with the laces, there are no uncomfortably hard pressure points. This provides unrivalled support and therefore greater precision and safety while running.
The pad where the sole of the shoe comes into contact with the ground is a single piece of rubber which stretches from your heel to your toe. This construction was chosen as it improves foot motion and provides more grip surface. Sticky Rubber offers unparalleled grip. Our red rubber is highly resistant to abrasion, helping to avoid premature wear and tear on the heel and making the shoe more durable without affecting grip.
In addition to the 360° System, the X Stab Concept (a rigid plastic TPU insert) helps stabilise the heel. This insert is embedded into the compressed EVA and helps stabilise the heel and keep it in position at the back of the shoe. The insert extends out at the sides so that it is covered by the 360° System strap, gently merging with the rest of the shoe at the forefoot. It is used to brace the foot and, along with the injected EVA in the front sole, provides excellent push off.
What size should you buy?
For trail running, you may wish to purchase a shoe that is one size larger than your normal size to ensure your feet remain comfortable when running downhill and to keep your toes from bumping against the tip of the shoe. Tip: keep your toenails short. Before the descent, make sure your laces are tight in order to keep your feet from sliding forward in the shoe. To check your size, click on "What size should I wear?" (near the "purchase" or "add to cart" buttons) and follow the instructions.
These have been the best value pair of trainers I've ever had. I used them for cycling on and off road, walking and occasionally running. The inside material wore a bit thin but that was probably due to my cycling.
