Warmth
This gilet is made with wadding to keep you warm during your cross-country ski outings.
The wadding is a synthetic component based on a polyester fibre which traps a large quantity of air. Given the insulating properties of air,
the wadding provides protection against the cold. This gilet can be worn over a technical t-shirt or as a second layer in cold weather.
How to stay warm and dry during my cross-country skiing outings?
We recommend the 3-layer technique.
Layer 1: second skin (technical base layer) wicks away moisture from the body to keep your skin dry.
Layer 2: insulating (t-shirt, fleece, gilet) layer that provides warmth and wicks away moisture outwards.
Layer 3: outer protective (jacket) layer that protects from the weather conditions: wind, snow and cold.
Adjust the number of layers to the level of your physical effort and the weather
Why should you protect yourself from the wind?
Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder?
With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°.
So-called "windproof" components help to reduce this windchill by blocking the air flow resulting from the true wind and the forward motion of your sporting activity.
ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION
We have incorporated 90% polyamide in this product. What does that mean? As well as being technical, this product has been designed taking into account its impact. In short: polyamide is a synthetic material made from oil. Using polyamide is to reclaim and repurpose manufacturing remnants or waste products instead of using new oil-based resources. And that's already a step in the right direction isn't it?
