    Product feature
    1. Choosing the right size and model
Like with any sports shoes, your hockey shoes need to fit your feet properly. First, make sure there are no pressure points. Next, ensure your foot does not slip around inside the shoe. This is especially important when playing on artificial turf. Certain models are specially designed for women's feet.
    2. Choosing the right size and model (cont.)
How to know if your shoes fit properly Plant your foot firmly on the ground. While exerting pressure down on your foot, try to move your foot in all directions in the shoe.
    3. Did you know?
Field hockey shoes are designed with two specific features: reinforcements, especially at the front of the foot, to protect your feet from impacts from the ball, and a sole suited to field hockey playing surfaces - generally sandy or wet artificial turf - for traction.
    4. Basic tip
Hockey should be fun. Play safely. Always wear your mouthguard, shin guards and a glove. Use hockey shoes with protective reinforcement and soles designed for your playing surface during matches and training.
    5. Design
Outsole: in supple rubber with notched triangular spikes for traction. Spikes along the edges provide excellent stability. / Midsole: in EVA for cushioning with an insert under the foot for improved durability when twisted and the CS cushioning system (air insert) at the heel. / Moulded EVA sockliner for greater comfort.
    6. Design (cont.)
Inner reinforcement at the forefoot and heel for protection against impacts from the ball. / Perforated PU upper lined in mesh for support, flexibility, reduced weight and ventilation. / Rigid PU stiffener. / 3D mesh lining for comfort. / Designed for women's feet.
    7. Weight
      280 g in size 6
    8. Shoe construction
Field hockey shoes have different sections. Each has a specific purpose. The outsole (in contact with the ground) is generally made of rubber and has spikes. It is hard and provides traction to prevent slipping. The midsole (just above the outsole) is generally made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA).
    9. Shoe construction (cont. 1)
This material provides cushioning at the heel. It may also come up on the instep to improve stability as well as form a toe cap for protection against impacts with the ball. The sockliner is in direct contact with the foot. It is generally made of foam or EVA. Its main purpose is comfort.
    10. Shoe construction (cont. 2)
The upper is the part of your shoe that is not part of the sole assembly. It features several sections. The front section is usually made of PU and mesh fabric. On the inner and outer sides, called the quarter panel, you will often find PU reinforcements. These are frequently design-oriented inserts (brand name or specific design). A stiffener is inserted at the back of the shoe.
    11. Shoe construction (cont. 3)
It is generally reinforced by a plastic plate to stabilise the foot and protect the Achilles tendon. On the top of the shoe is the tongue, which protects the foot from water and stones, etc.
    12. Designer
These shoes were designed by our product development team comprised of field hockey players who are passionate about their sport (product managers, designers, engineers, garment designers, and prototype and lab technicians) as well as Decathlon shoe process specialists.
