In the start i found it difficult as i was not able to get the link locked my pulling it with my bare hands. However i landed up watching a video on YouTube . The trick is u have to sit on the bike hold brakes and try to peddle forwand to put tension on the chain link and booom the links were locked took just 2 seconds. I used this link on my KMC chain. Its really helpful when you want to clean between the gears and sprocket just snap the link open and dip the chain in degreaser. Awesome product . Thanks Decathlon.

I found the Shimano chain very difficult to connect . Tried to connect the chain for about 1.5 HOURS without any tools. I failed & was very frustrated & angry. I eventually managed to connect the chain using pliers. I haven't connected many chains in my life but this is the most difficult 1 yet. The easiest chain I've connected was a sram 9 speed road chain. Only about 10 mins to take out some links & then fit & join it TOOL FREE. Have used the Shimano chain for about a month & no problems with it. I use it with a 6 speed Btwin screw on sprockets which only cost £7.50 new and chain runs smoothly with sprockets. Been using sprockets for the same amount of time as new Shimano chain.
    Good price. Spare connection links
