    • only one heel bag in box labelled "heel cushions"

      16/01/2017
      David (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Because of my knee tendon injury, I need cushioning in my shoes. I bought some full foot gel show inserts for about £10 and this heel gel liner for £9. The box is labelled "heel cushions" so given that and the price, I expected to have a pair in the box. In fact there is only one. Which is annoying and makes it more expensive than the full foot supports
      the promise of maximum support
only one heel in box is misleading
      Response of the brand
Thank you for your feedback on the Ironman gel performance cushion and I apologise for the delayed response. I also apologise for the miscommunication and have updated the product page to ensure it is clearer. Thanks again for your comments.

    • They don't stay put

      30/12/2015
      Claire (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
These seem to provide effective cushioning but simply do not stay put. I have tried in my walking shoes, walking boots and even a pair of brogues but in every one they very quickly slipped forward, were very uncomfortable and I had to stop and adjust them as I walked. I even tried taping them in and putting them underneath the existing insole but neither had more than a very temporary effect; the latter did completely ruin the insoles though. They are so bad that after just a few weeks I have thrown them out!
      Good cushioning
      They don't stay put
      Response of the brand
      Hi Claire,

I'm very sorry that you have had a problem with these insoles.  I am trying to find from the sourcing manager why there is a problem for some people with these.  It's not my intention to sell something that is not fit for purpose and I need to better understand where the problem comes from and take action to stop this happening in future.

You are welcome to return any product that you are not completely satisfied with to Decathlon within 365 days of purchase and I would ask you to do this on this occasion.  If you have any feedback that you feel could help on top the clear feedback you have already given it would be much appreciated.

      Kind regards,

      David Daker Commercial Director DECATHLON
    • Work but move about underfoot

      19/09/2015
      Carl (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
I always replace my heel pads everytime i have new trainers and have always bought sorbothane heel cushions (over 6 years) but the store had none in stock so bought these :-(
They do cushion your heel BUT not matter what i've tried they move eg on a 13 mile run you stop at mile 3 because the left one has moved up to the left of the trainer side and starts to rub so you replace it back to the correct postion then awhile later the right one moves up the back of the trainer so you are for ever stop starting !
I've tried on top of the insole, under the insole but nothing works :-(
only solution perhaps is to glue fix ?
      Nothing positive
      All negative
      Response of the brand
      Hi Carl,

I have checked the reviews on our sister website in France and though vast majority of people are very happy with the Ironman heel pads, there are 4 or 5 examples of people who have had an issue with the pads moving within the shoe.

As you are not satisfied with these heel pads then you are more than welcome to return them.  The heel pads you usually buy are back in stock (ref: 8305787) and you can order them by click and collect and they will be with you next day if you order before midday.

      Kind regards,

      David Daker Commercial Director DECATHLON
