I had this product for several years and never had any problems with it. Recorded accurately and was robust enough for general cycling. Unfortunately, after an accident, the sensor attached to the forks was lost and it does not seem possible to obtain a replacement. Perhaps somebody knows otherwise.
Good piece of kit, have reset back to zero, however when I cycle I get no distance tracked
Installation is simple enough, the sensor needs to be rather close to the magnet to pick it up and a lot of people don't get this quite right, which will lead to pickup issues down the line. The sensor has to be cable-tied on, unlike in earlier versions which featured a rubber strap. Make sure to put some protective tape on your fork before you attach the sensor to minimise the risk of damage if you need to take it off. I found that the rubber strap for the display unit was shorter than necessary, so I had to mount it in a slightly different way, but it works and has never fallen off.
The unit itself is light, simple to use and the display is big and clear, which is important when you're on the move. Setting it up for your tyre size is so easy, too.
Other users have commented on a lack of cadence and heart rate compatibility, but for this price, I don't think we can complain too much.
In operation, I have found the unit to be very robust in all weather with excellent functionality, with exception to one issue; interference. I have an LED light on the handlebars, which causes the computer to under-read by a half or two-thirds. I also suspect the WiFi and Bluetooth from my phone may interfere, but I've yet to be sure. If you pick up one of these, I suggest you try it with your other electronic accessories and check for compatability.
Overall, it's light, extremely user friendly (once set up) and accurate and I'd happily reccommend one.
I have had this cycle computer for some time now. It has done app 3000 miles and has given me no problems during that period. I am not even sure that I have replaced the battery yet. The only dissapointment is that it does not include an RPM count which is pretty standard. Also, the instructions are very small and diffiuclt to follow. Mostly graphical multi language instructions.
Price and size of display
Lack of RPM count and decent installation instruct
Good product and seems accurate over the time I have been using it. It would be 5* if it was possible to share data and compare history.
Accurate and light
Does not share/compare data
This is great value for money with easy to read information and easy to operate on the move. I was caught in a downpour and the Count 8 continued to function. Computers I have had in the past have failed in less extreme conditions. I am disappointed in the average speed indicator as it only seems to show variations of 4 - 5 kph from the average. I had a cateye velo before and this had an arrow which changed direction immediately you varied from the average, but it packed up in damp conditions.
Please can you tell me how to remove the computer from its clip if I need to turn the bike upside down for repairs/maintenance? Thanks
Looks good and has easy to read dial. Waterproof
Average speed indicator
Thanks for your time to leave a review for the 500 Wireless Cyclometer.
To unattach the product from the clip you will need to press down the tab on the bottom left corner of the computer and slide the computer upwards. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to get in touch.

So far so good, setup and installation was easy on my schwinn network 3.0. Noticed it didn't turn off though after my ride. Is it automatic?
I like this computer but there is may a few little thing I don't like about it. The good bits are you can mount this to your bars or stem, not many speedometers allow this function for this price. I like the rpm bar as it looks cool, the numbers are big and easy to see. There are a lot of tyre and wheel size settings. I didn't like that for the price it has no back lighting like my bell computer has. The instructions where a bit complex on how to set the settings but I soon figured it out. Its hard to see in the dark if it had back lighting it would be very good, unless there is a backlit version I would say buy that one, but if not and you don't care about it being backlit this is a fair buy in that sence. It functions well and I have not suffered interference from other signals or devices like my bell. It is a basic computer and the speed is estimated and calculated in either kph or mph, same for miles or ks. It estimates calories burned and also maybe a few other things like average speed and maximum speed. I like it but I wish it was backlit.
Ive never needed to change the battery in the sensor bit but recently it hasnt been receiving, so I have changed the battery twice and still doesnt work. But the screen is still working fine. any help?
worked fine for 2 years
Perfect for most people, easy to set up although the sensor can be awkward to get right. The buttons also don't feel as crisp as my last one but work perfectly well
Works well, easy to use
Sensor can be awkward to set
