Product feature
  1. Programme/terrain
The Illusion 700 binding is a traditional and efficient snowboard binding that can go anywhere: on groomed slopes, off-piste and even in parks, at any level. It has a short yet stiff highback, giving good rear support for backside tricks as well as ankle mobility during spins. Its full EVA pad guarantees excellent cushioning on landing jumps.
  2. Opening mechanism
Turn Strap System: the strap is mounted onto a hinge, so that it turns inwards when you lift your foot. When putting the boot on, the space is therefore free to insert the boot into the binding without any discomfort. This also prevents the strap and the hooks getting crushed with the boot.
  3. Adjustment options
These snowboard bindings have a system for very precisely adjusting the centring of your feet on the board thanks to _ the 5 available positions for the screws on the disc, _ the forwards/backwards adjustment of the highback: +7mm of additional adjustment, The aim is to prevent the boot from hanging over the side of the board at the toe or heel. But also _ the angle of the highback (canting), _ the length of the gas pedal, particularly useful for big feet, _ the lengths of the straps.
  4. Stance (spacing between the bindings)
The stance is the distance between the 2 bindings in cm. It can be adapted according to your body shape but be aware that all snowboards have a recommended stance for bindings (shown by a mark between the binding inserts). If you want to position your feet further apart or closer together on the board, do the test to see if you are best placed.
  5. How do I change my stance on the board?
For on-piste/off-piste boards, if you want to position your feet closer together, it is best to move only the front binding further back, and if you want to move your feet further apart it is best to move only the rear binding further back. The aim is to be set a little further back so that you can take turns better on piste and float on powder snow. For freestyle boards (symmetrical), it is best to move the 2 bindings in order to remain centred on the board.
  6. At what angle should I put my snowboard bindings?
For a freeride use on piste, we recommend +18° at the front and 0° at the rear. For a freestyle use on all types of snow, we recommend +18° and -6°. Thanks to the rear foot opening, you can manoeuvre when riding switch. For pure freestyle runs, choose completely symmetrical angles such as +15° and -15° for example. The choice of angle on the bindings is a very personal thing. Feel free to check out what others are doing and try out different options. You might be pleasantly surprised!
  7. Don't forget to centre your boot on your board!
The disc bindings with 4 screws can slide along a single line and generally have 5 possible settings. This setting is used to centre the boot on the snowboard & prevent the foot from protruding over the edge of the board too much, otherwise you will fall! Your boot must protrude by an equal amount on both sides of the board. You can also rotate the disc through 90° to increase/decrease the stance in relation to that provided by the inserts. In this case, the bindings cannot be centred laterally.
  8. What size should I choose for my snowboard bindings?
M = sizes 3 to 7 (Europe) L = sizes 8 to 12 (Europe). But just as you would always try on a shoe with your own foot, we strongly recommend trying on the bindings with your snowboard boots because, depending on the brand, a particular size of boot can vary in volume.
