Product feature
  1. Component waterproofing
This garment has been subjected to a 2-hour shower test using 60 L/sqm/hr of water. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm can withstand the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm column of water (approximately equivalent to a 2-hour downpour). The waterproof rating is expressed in schmerbers, e.g: 2000 schmerbers.
  2. Component breathability
To find out if a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance RET (test based on ISO 11092) is measured. The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
  3. Practical details
Can be stored in the pocket. Central zip opening, hood, elasticated wrists and waistband
  4. Durability of the components
Abrasion and friction resistance test: for example, we conduct laboratory tests to verify that the fleece doesn’t pill. Colour fastness test: the colour fastness is verified to make sure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing should not affect the fabric's properties, behaviour, thickness or appearance.
  5. Care
1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): close the rip-tabs and use mild detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Do not fold the garment too much in the washing machine: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix clothing styles and colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6/ Either line or tumble dry (low heat, short cycle).
  6. A score for comparing the products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall rating from A to E is provided to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers and backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental information of its products.
