Product feature
  1. Measurement of the boots' thermal insulation.
Based on the field and lab tests carried out to measure the perception of cold with a panel of users, we gauge the thermal insulation of our boots when stationary (static) and when moving (dynamic). It is now possible to give an accurate measurement of the temperature at which the boots will protect you. The comfort temperature ratings are indicated for the boots. We take into account the differences in the perception of cold between men and women.
  2. Footwear waterproofing test.
These boots, which have been tested in the laboratory, provide the best possible waterproofing. The boots are initially immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check for bubbles on the surface of the boot. Then they are placed on a mechanical arm to simulate a walking motion while half immersed in water. We then check if the inside of the boot remains perfectly dry. These laboratory tests are supplemented with wear and ageing tests conducted in the field.
  3. 3 levels of waterproofing.
During the waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing, with 2000 flexes (approx. equivalent to a 4 km walk), 4000 flexes (approx. equivalent to an 8 km walk) and 8000 flexes (approx. equivalent to a 16 km walk).
  4. Boot waterproofing.
This boot model was tested with up to 8000 flexes which is equivalent to a 16 km walk. (The boot's upper is not waterproof but only water-repellent)
  5. SNOWCONTACT technology.
The SNOWCONTACT soles are designed using a specific component and a lug pattern that is designed to provide the best possible grip and traction. SNOWCONTACT soles are more effective than traditional soles on snow. When used on ice, optimum safety can only be ensured by adding non-slip grips.
  6. Field tests.
This boot has been tested in the field by hikers accompanied by the product manager under similar climatic conditions to those experienced in use. In particular, we analyse the technical elements of the boot to validate the product in accordance with its specifications and the feedback you send us.
  7. Laboratory tests.
Our engineers conduct laboratory tests to fully guarantee your satisfaction in use. Among other things, we validate the following elements: strength of eyelets and straps, strength of glued assemblies, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of the sole and upper components and accelerated ageing.
Product testing
  1. Composition
Outer sole of : 100.0% Styrene Ethylene Butadiene Styrene (SEBS) Warm lining : 100.0% Polyester (PES) Upper of : 100.0% Polyester (PES)
  2. Storage advice
Store your products in a well-ventilated place away from light and moisture.
  3. Product catchline
The lower section of these warm boots is waterproof due to the base assembly – providing warmth and comfort. They are equipped with a snowcontact sole that provides good grip on snow.
  4. Lab tested
Our design team is based at the foot of the Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our designers create and develop products that are appealing, simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field because we b

  • Best dog walking boots

Used for More than 2 years
Over the years I have bought that many types of hiking boots/ wellies for the many miles I walk come rain or shine. The day I found these were a godsend.
They have changed them slightly and they aren’t quite as good as the original ones, which were a full mould, however for the price you pay they are excellent.
I usually buy a pair every year and only replace them as I wear down the sole. They keep my feet, warm, dry and are so comfortable. I recommend them to everyone I know. Some people spend a fortune on brand name wellies and I hear them complain... not me in my decathlon’s. worth every penny.
  • No good in snow

Used for 3 to 6 months
Having warn these twice in the snow, I have just realised that with the top not being waterproof, even in the smallest amount of snow my son's feet get soaked and cold. Them getting wet inside has also caused them to smell really bad. I would return them except we've had them nearly 3 months and i've only just realised plus they smell awful.

I originally bought a pair of these for my youngest child and they worked so well that I have purchased them for all the family including the adults. They are warm and waterproof and super grippy perfect for when our family is out flying kites.
