Product feature
  1. How can I be sure my jacket will give me proper protection in bad weather?
The 50 trousers were developed with a sophisticated component and assembly to prevent water from entering and reduce wind chill in order to cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To check that they are waterproof, these trousers were placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier has to cope with. We approved this product's waterproofing by skiing in different conditions for several days.
  2. What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The 50 trousers are equipped with water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to bad weather. This high-tech solution will keep you dry for longer on the ski slopes. For it to remain effective, you must repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores.
  3. "Coated" trousers: what are the advantages of this coating?
"The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport."
  4. What are "breathable" trousers?
It is a product that lets the water vapour produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To measure the breathability of a fabric, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat, called RET, with a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. RET of the 50 trousers < 12
  5. How do my ski trousers keep me warm?
"We use wadding for insulation to help keep you warm. This polyester-based synthetic material traps air, the quantity of which will depend on the size of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, high-tech or siliconised, each with different properties: warmth, low weight, flexibility, etc. "
  6. What is the difference between water repellent and waterproof properties?
Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. Wed'ze trousers come with a water-repellent component which extends its resistance to bad weather and prevents water from getting in. It is an additional technical solution to make sure you stay dry as long as possible throughout the day. You should repeat this treatment regularly using products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.
  7. How can I be sure that the trousers will keep me warm?
We use wadding for insulation to help keep you warm. This polyester-based synthetic material traps air, the quantity of which will depend on the size of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, high-tech or siliconised, each with different properties: warmth, low weight, elasticity, etc. All the wadding materials that we use are made with recycled materials – usually plastic bottles.
  8. How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?
To keep your legs warm and dry: wear 2 breathable layers, e.g. a ski base layer or a pair of ski tights to retain warmth and ski trousers to protect you from the weather conditions.
  9. Not feeling cold is a good start, but does it protect me from the wind?
Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder?Consequently, when the outdoor temperature is 0°C and the wind speed is 20 km, it feels like -10°C. The so-called "windproof" components reduce this wind chill effect by stopping the air flow caused by the actual wind and the apparent wind generated by the sporting activity.
  10. Washing instructions for ski clothing
To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend the following: Machine wash at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the waterproofing the outer fabric using a waterproof spray for fabrics. Read the care instructions.
