  6. Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind causes the perceived temperature to decrease considerably. With an outside temperature of 0° and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
  7. Water repellent property of the component (not to be confused with the waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. In this way, the fabric does not get waterlogged and remains light, and warm. A fabric is made water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend each wash). Products for this are available in our stores. All Quechua Softshell jackets are water-repellent.
  8. How to restore the water repellent property?

  9. Breathability
The main fabric used throughout the jacket, except at the sides, has a wind proof membrane with a breathability of 2814 g/sqm per 24 hrs (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).
  10. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental footprint is calculated for its entire life and with various indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, et.)
