    Product feature
    1. 3 levels of waterproofing
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2 000 flexes (around 2 hours of walking), 4 000 flexes (around 4 hours of walking) and 8 000 flexes (around 8 hours of walking). After this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once the product is dry.
    2. How our shoes' thermal insulation is measured
It was not previously possible to give a precise idea of the temperature at which your shoes would still insulate your feet from the cold. Now it can be done: the temperature limits for use are shown on your Quechua shoes. Using cold sensing tests while hiking and in the lab with a panel of customers, we measured the thermal resistance of our boots while active and at rest. We take into consideration the differences between men and women.
    3. Footwear waterproofing test
These boots, which are laboratory and field tested, provide optimum waterproofing and breathability. First the boots are immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied: the boots are checked to ensure that no bubbles form on the surface of the boots. They are half immersed and placed on a mechanical arm that simulates walking. we then check that the inside of the boots remains perfectly dry.
    4. Shoe waterproofing level.
The boots 900 Warm women remain waterproof for over 4000 flexes.
    5. Field tests.
All our boots are tested in use and for comfort by users who are representative of the target market under conditions that replicate those you will experience in use. Our Missions Tests link up the product manager with people who are not affiliated to Quechua to test, develop and approve the products.
    6. Measurement of the boots' thermal insulation
It was not previously possible to measure precisely the temperature at which your footwear would still insulate your feet from the cold. Now it can be done: the temperature limits for use are shown on your Quechua boots. Using subjective sensory chill tests conducted in the field and in the lab with a panel of customers, we measure the thermal resistance of our boots when the user is moving and stationary. We take into consideration the differences between men and women.
    7. Lab tests.
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and straps, fixtures, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion and premature ageing.
    8. Field tests.
All our boots are tested in use and for comfort by users who are representative of the target market under conditions that replicate those you will experience in use. Bought these for a trip to Iceland, so haven't worn them yet. Tried them on and the fit was perfect. They are warm and comfortable and very stylish.

The boots are very slippery though they provide good warmth. I used it for 2 weeks for my Euro trip where the temperatures are around -2C to -17C. Boots along with merino wool socks kept me warm. But the main disadvantage is the silicon sole that made it difficult to walk on snow. Overall feedback - No grip. Slightly heavy too.

Very comfortable boot and excellent value for money. Not great for climbing snow covered slopes but bought this to use next Christmas in Lapland so hoping they will warm enough!

I bought these boots for a trip abroad to be worn in snow, ice and minus temperatures. They are light, comfortable and very warm even with a light sock ( tested at -12 C ). I am normally size 4.5 in shoes, but always get a size up in boots to allow for socks. I bought 5.5 and they are loose so i have to tighten up with laces, lengthwise perhaps i could have got away with size 5 but i could not compare as it was out of stock. The boots are waterproof and have a light sole unlike other snow boots with heavy bulky bottoms. They look really nice on, very feminine. The price is also reasonable for the style and practicality you get. I also like the fact that they are taller than most other snow boots.
