    Product feature
    1. Clothing waterproofing
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
    2. Waterproof component
we test a fabric's resistance to water pressure by measuring the height of a column of water supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).
    3. Component water repellent property
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. Water-repellency is achieved by a treatment applied on the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received water-repellent treatment.
    4. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
    5. Additional recommended products
"Rain-Cut Pant" overtrousers also protect the lower body and provide comprehensive, highly effective protection from the wind and rain showers. Care products: waterproofing spray or liquid in the machine To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
    6. Sizing and fit information
Loose fitting, feminine cut so you can combine the jacket with another warm 2nd layer such as a sweater or fleece.
    7. Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE mark is attributed to help you identify the best environmental performance by comparing products to each other (t-shirts, rucksacks, etc). Decathlon volunteered to take part in this environmental display process. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
