    Product feature
    1. Are there any particular safety precautions to take when using the Town 9 scooter?
You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads) when scootering. Most serious accidents take place during the first few months of use: spend time learning the basics so that you can control your speed and brake in emergency situations in all weather conditions (particularly on wet floors).
    2. How do you fold/unfold the scooter?
Hands-free and in one second! What's the trick? Simply stand opposite your scooter with the frame straight in front of you and press the pedal, and your Town 9 is folded in less time than it takes to read the instructions.
    3. Is the Oxelo Town 9 scooter suited to long journeys around town (2 to 5 km)?
Yes! The rubber grip on the deck and the ultra-comfy ergonomic handles with palm rests help reduce vibrations for a more pleasant ride. The TOWN 9 adult scooter also has a bell so that you can make yourself heard. Last but not least, the handlebar is slightly forward for better steering control.
    4. What is the glide performance of the Oxelo Town 9 scooter?
We have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm HIGH BOUNCE PU rubber wheels for high-performance scootering. A large wheel enhances push-off, thus decreasing the amount of effort required. The ABEC 7 bearings are very high quality and, by making it easier for you to push yourself along, limit fatigue.
    5. How much does the Town 9 scooter weigh?
6.4 kg making it easy to move in "trolley" mode: fold it up and drag it along like a suitcase.
    6. What is the maximum weight the Town 9 scooter can take?
      100 kg.
    7. What safety precautions should you take with the Town 9 scooter?
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges.
    8. What should you do if there's play in the handlebar?
What with bumps in the road, repeated jarring and vibrations, it's normal for certain parts to come loose. You can have all of the screws tightened at your local Decathlon workshop or do so yourself with the Allen keys provided (designed to fit all of the scooter's parts).
    9. How are our products tested?
All of our scooters have been lab tested. These tests check compliance with the European standards for scooters, as well as looking for wear. For example, one of our tests involves a machine folding the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
    10. How should you maintain your scooter?
The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.

    • Very good product

      Vanya (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
It's a wonderful scuter and I use it every day but when it is wet the front break doesn't work properly. It takes more time till the complete stop. Also when is wet outside it is slippery. I guess it's a normal thing but you have to be conscious and extra careful when wet.

    • Very nice scooter

      L (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
Bought the Town 9ef in 2017 and sold my Micro Flex Deluxe because I could not change the rear brake. To my disappointment, I had the problem with the Oxelo.....can't find the parts to maintain the scooter in good condition. I wrote many emails and called Oxelo and Decathlon and got 0 support and 0 answer!!!! Very poor after sale service. I wanted to buy the new Town 9 V2 but Will go back to Micro has poor service with Oxelo and no spare parts. Shame....because I love the scooter a lot! Think about it before buying. The spare are very hard to find for the Town 9.

      Plamena (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 1 year
I have used it for more than 3 years and I love it. I go to work with it. The only problem I have is that after few months of use, I can't put it on stand. It folds directly. Can I fix it somehow?

    • Folds up when being used

      Charlie (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
i bought this scooter back in january 2017. however i have only been able to use it a small number of times due to it constantly folding when going over a bumpy surface. even at a safe speed, the moment it folds, it throws me off and i get injured. this has caused damage to the bottom of the scooter and also injuries to my hands and knees and clothing. it is very dangerous, the front bar lock is very weak and can just shake free when being used, causing the bar to fold in, the underbody of the scooter to scrape on the floor and cease all momentum, causing you to go flying off. i really enjoyed using this to get to work and around town, but it is not suited for any kind of bumpy pavement or hazard slabs for the blind.
      Response of the brand
      Dear Charlie,

I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience with Town 9 EF Scooter.
