TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

SAFETY

Always use your boat and this motor in accordance with the local safety regulations.
When onboard your boat, you must always have a life jacket, in accordance with the local regulations, and a paddle or fins for use in the event of a breakdown.
Only for use by adults.
Do not start the motor out of the water.
Take care when close to the propeller to avoid injury.

INSTALLING THE MOTOR AND THE CONTROL UNIT

This motor is compatible with float tubes and kayaks equipped with the Decathlon fin base. (Reference: 8603033)
Always disconnect the circuit breaker of the control unit before taking any other action.
Insert the motor into the base under the boat, then install the safety pin.
Connect the signal wire between the motor and the control unit.
Check that the wire is properly assembled and watertight.

BATTERY CONNECTOR (not included)

The motor is designed for use with a 12 V battery.
Depending on the battery used, the casting weight will be between 24 and 32 lbs.
We recommend sealed lithium technology batteries, which are lighter and more compact.
You'll need to adjust the connector based on the type of battery that you're using.
2 clamp connectors provided. The red wire must be connected to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal.

CONSUMPTION

Full power forward: 25 Amps, accurate to 23.63A (320w)
Full reverse: 21.2 Amps max (263w)
Average continuous current at half throttle = 5 Amps
Using the motor at half throttle means very high savings on long journeys.
A 12Volt 50Ah battery is therefore an ideal choice for a day's fishing.

GETTING STARTED

1. Put the magnetic circuit breaker on the control unit. The other end must be attached to the user. Set to 0. The LED must be green.
2. Forward/reverse operation of the motor is controlled using the rotary switch on the control unit.
3. You can use the variator on the control unit to drive the boat forwards or backwards and to adjust the speed.
4. Use fins or paddles to steer your boat.
