Which lines to use?
You are advised to use a DT3 or a WF4 silk line, depending on the river. The DT3 is discreet and ideal for short-distance fishing, while the WF4 is better suited to use with sinker nymphs or large flies.
For nymph line fishing, you can only use lines between 18 and 20/100. While this rod can be used for nymph line fishing, it is not specially designed for this technique
Fighting butt
With this 10' rod, a 3/4 silk line. The fighting butt serves two purposes:
- to balance the rod
- the short, but quite flared shape provides an additional point of support on the arm when nymph fishing with a raised rod or in fast waters
Which rigging should you use?
Perfect for dry fly fishing, this rod is also well suited to a dry fly/nymph combination. You can also try nymph line fishing with perdigon nymphs or jig nymphs.
