The aim is to imitate a frog swimming along edges, through reeds and water lilies. With each pull, the water will press on the fly's neck to make it dive down, leaving a trail of bubbles behind it. Wait for the fly to return to the surface to animate it again. Feel free to use a pause when casting into gaps in vegetation, with the fly on the surface, to tempt in more educated fish. The slider's weed guard allows it to pass through surface vegetations
