The Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS) has established specific certification requirements for helmets used in competitions.
To comply with FIS specifications, the helmet must comply with European (EN 1077 A) and American (ASTM 2040) certifications, all part of a protocol of severe tests.
These helmets are identified by a specific non removable "FIS" logo placed on the helmet.
