TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

How can I be sure that my baby will be warm when sledging in the snow?

Our designers use wadding to keep the body warm. This polyester-based synthetic component traps more or less air depending on its thickness. The thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.These baby ski trousers retain warmth during winter sports activity.

How can I be sure that my baby will stay dry when sledging in the snow?

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm water column. A quality guarantee for these baby ski trousers.

How can I stop snow from getting in my boots?

Put the elastic of the trousers over the boot to prevent snow and draughts from getting inside the snow boot.

How to dress your babies so they stay warm on your sledging outings?

To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule:
- Layer 1 or thermal base layer to stay dry.
- Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in.
- Layer 3 or a protective layer to protect against the elements.

What is the water-repellent feature?

A water-repellent fabric lets water run off its surface, without absorbing it: the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and breathable. You can see drops of water beading and running off the surface of the fabric.
A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes).

How to restore the water-repellent properties?

To reactivate the water-repellent property, wash the garment inside out on a synthetic cycle at 30°C and rinse thoroughly. You can use your usual washing powder but no fabric softener. Then leave your jacket to air-dry completely on a drying rack. Finally, turn your garment the right way round and put it in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 minutes. The heat will reactivate the water-repellent property of the fabric.

Where can I write my baby's name on these winter salopettes?

Space to write your kid’s name in order to personalise the product. A very practical feature for finding your babies' ski trousers at the crèche or nursery this winter.

How is the waterproof rating of these baby ski salopettes verified?

The waterproofing of a fabric by a coating or a membrane is measured in Schmerbers or H20 mm (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.
This baby ski jacket is designed with a waterproof coating (JIS 1092 standard): this component resists 5,000 mm H20 (Schmerbers) before washing (equivalent to the pressure exerted by a 5 metre column of water).

Tips for storage and maintenance

Machine wash - 30° max - normal
Do not bleach
Tumble dry - low heat
Do not iron
Do not dry-clean

Storage tips

Store on a hanger and do not fold as this could damage the fabric coating. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.

TESTS AND WARRANTY

Test product

All the sledging products are tested under the real-life conditions for which they are designed: snow, cold and all the conditions you're likely to encounter when sledging. The design teams, product leaders, engineers and pattern makers ensure that the programme for which the product has been designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.
