Waterproof to IPX7 (submerged at a depth of 1 m for 30 minutes). This model also floats. When submerged underwater, an alarm and a red LED are triggered to make it easier to detect. When the VHF is removed from the water, a vibrating drainage mechanism evacuates the water from the loudspeaker by emitting vibrations. This system makes conversations more audible.
