How to wax your skis?

Kit yourself out with a waxing iron and a wax cake. Melt the wax cake into droplets, by placing it against the baseplate of the iron. Using the iron, spread the wax over the entire surface of the base. This is the most delicate phase: you must pass the iron over slowly (from shovel to heel), without ever leaving the iron in the same place for too long, or worse, completely still on your skis, as this will damage your baseplate.
