Excellent bib tights, even better when on sale. So good, I bought 2 pairs. The chamoix is comfortable and just the rights size, the fleece lining keeps the legs warm, and the low cut front makes comfort breaks a breeze. I particularly liked the vented straps and back. The only negative, is that on a size S, I am 171 cm and they are a bit long (2cm maybe). Apart from that, they are great !
Confortable chamoix, warm fabric, low cut front
Legs a bit long
I am satisfied with the £39.99 price I paid for my first pair. They are now a bargain having recently been reduced to £24.99. So, I have been back and purchased a second pair for when one pair is in the wash.
In fairness, these tights have been described by Decathlon as “to keep the cool weather at bay”. I feel that they do that well. Please DO NOT confuse this with cold winter weather, i.e sub zero protection. They are good for late autumn and early spring weather in my opinion. The mild November & early part of December this year means they are still fulfilling their requirement.
I found them to be a very snug fit (size medium), except the chamois area is baggy and loose on me, under the groin area when I am walking around, and hangs down away from my body. (I’m only 5` 8``). Anyone with a couple more inched on their legs will have no issues. On the bike (which is the main thing) they are very comfortable all over, and I don’t notice any problem from the chamois as the “slack area” of the chamois is pressed against my body by the bike seat.
The groin area gets a bit cool, and I feel that more thermal protection is required in that specific area. My legs were kept warm enough from the cycling motion. From the waist up, common sense means putting appropriate layers on the upper body inline with the outside temp.
I particularly liked the dual method of preventing the tights from riding up the legs. This was facilitated by a band of rubberised coating at the ankle area, plus short zips-a great combination that demonstrates attention to detail.
For sub zero temps, tights with better thermal protection will be more appropriate-(something like the B`twin 700 in my opinion).
My rating: 9/10
Very comfortable to cycle in.
Groin area feels a bit cold.
these offer great value at a great price, fit is good and great comfort
great fit and very warm
none at this price
These winter tights fit well and do the job of keeping the winter chill off my legs but the chamois is proving uncomfortable, much more so than my other tights/shorts from btwin endura and gore.... i have used them three times so far with washes between each use but they dont seem to be "breaking in" so may have to sack em' as the discomfort is marked and makes rides a bit of a misery!
Overall, quality fabric that is fleecy and warm
Discomfort from chamois on road bike
Thank you for your product review. I'm sorry to read that the chamois is not as comfortable as it should be.
I have just forwarded your comments on to the product manager at b'Twin.

Bought as a deal with the 500 top but seem a little thin compared to the Jacket, The fit and the material for the legs was great, a good bit of padding with the anti-bacterial properties but on the long downhills there was noticable wing chill in the groin - it was a frosty Autumnal day in Scotland, Much colder and Id be wearing some over shorts getting the other longs out.
could do with some wind stop over the crotch area
